Jindalee
Estate
Jindalee Estate is a
proudly family-owned and operated Australian winery. All of
Jindalee’s wines are made and bottled on their own estate. This
stems from their philosophy that wines should be tended from vine
to bottle; nurturing their inherent characters and ensuring they
reach their full potential.
The
Estate’s fruit-driven, fresh style reflects the raw nature of the
Australian environment. This is evident in the winery’s claim to
‘cultivate a little wildness in every bottle;’ a claim which also
highlights the passion and joi-de-vivre these winemakers
posses.
Jindalee wines reflect
both warm and cool climate tonal variations. You can taste the
warmth in their full-bodied wines, from the sun-drenched
Murray-Darling region. The complex, well-balanced characters of our
Fetter’s Rest wines are indicative of the cooler climes of the
Geelong region.
Jindalee
Estate Chardonnay 2006
The
fruit for this Chardonnay is sourced from our vineyards in the
Murray-Darling region near Mildura. Medium-bodied, this Chardonnay
is full of fresh lively fruit. Rich and tropical, the fruit
flavours combine well with the soft French oak used to mature this
wine. Perfect with a light risotto.
Jindalee
Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
This is
a soft, rounded Cabernet Sauvignon, ready for immediate enjoyment.
It has rich, jammy fruit flavours; fine-grained tannins and a
well-balanced mouth feel. It was matured using American oak that
combines well with the natural minty, blackberry flavours of
Cabernet Sauvignon. Pairs well with red meat dishes or even dark
chocolate.
Jindalee
Estate Merlot 2006
Merlot
typically displays sweet flavours, and ours is no exception. Plum,
blackberries and rasberries all combine on a soft, well-balanced
palate. We mature this wine using American oak that rounds out the
mouth feel and adds some complexity. Medium-bodied, it pairs well
with medium-weight foods such as veal, lamb, duck and salmon or
tuna.
Jindalee
Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2007
This
Sauvignon Blanc possesses an intense bouquet of gooseberries,
passionfruit and hints of peach and melon. It has a vibrant, crisp
palate, with good balance between the fruit sweetness and acidity,
whilst maintaining good mid-palate weight and a lingering, clean
finish. As with all Sauvignon Blanc, this wine is made to be
enjoyed now whilst its aromatics are at their best. This is a wine
that will compliment most occasions and food styles.
Jindalee
Estate Shiraz 2006
This
wine is an intense purple colour, combining a fruit bouquet with a
soft, rich palate and subtle oak complexity. The aromas of
blackberries, plums and liquorice are complemented by some spice
and pepper notes and a layer of rich vanilla oak. Soft, ripe
tannins create a luscious texture that leads to a lingering
fruit-filled finish. Match with pepper-infused grilled, barbecued
or braised beef. |
